What type of salt should the athlete use?
ByThe general public and government have issues with salt and we are lead to believe that salt is bad.
It's not the case, if you are eating properly and only having the occasional processed meal or ready made meal then you will definatley need to be adding salt to your diet.
Salt is really important for the athlete, but not just any salt. The normal white table salt that is so common should be avoided, it is just sodium chloride and it has all the other beneficial trace minerals removed from it.
